New Results of a Proton-Proton Bremsstrahlung Experiment at 42 MeV

Abstract

We report the results of new measurements and analysis of 42-MeV proton-proton bremsstrahlung cross sections. Comparison with the predictions of the Hamada-Johnston potential over proton polar-angle ranges from 16\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} to 40\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} is made and significant disagreement is observed.
