Abstract The excess enthalpies of all possible binary mixtures of n‐heptane, isooctane (2,2,4‐trimethylpentane), ETBE (ethyl‐tert. butyl ether) and ethanol have been measured at 298.15 K and 313.15 K and atmospheric pressure using a quasi‐isothermal flow calorimeter. The experimental excess enthalpies H E and published excess heat capacities C E P and excess volumes V E are used to test the applicability of the ERAS ( E xtended R eal A ssociated S olution)‐model.
