Abstract

Polymerization contraction stress is an undesirable and inevitable characteristic of adhesive restorations encountered in clinical dentistry that may compromise restoration success. Clinicians must understand the concept of polymerization contraction stress and realize that the quality of composite resin restorations depends on successful management of these stresses.
