Anabolic Hormones in Dermatomyositis

Abstract

Morphology.-A short, oval coccobacillus with rounded ends, about 1.5 by 0.5-0.8 JA, occurring singly, in pairs, and in short chains. Pleomorphism noted in subculture and increased with repeated subculture. It stained Gramnegative; bipolar staining was not a feature and no capsule was seen. (The organism was not observed in tissue-smears.)
