Abstract

Thoracoscopic repair of esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula is feasible, but is technically challenging. Long-gap defects require more extensive dissection and difficult anastomosis, and are therefore associated with longer operative times. More data are needed for further evaluation of this approach.
