Abstract

ATL is a profoundly immunosuppressing malignancy. This is manifested by an extremely high incidence of infectious episodes/patient-year. The incidence of infection appears to be greater than for mycosis fungoides, Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
