Low Frequency Spin Wave and Magnetic Soliton in uudd 3He

Abstract

By including gradient terms we generalize the nonlinear equations of the spin dynamics in uudd 3He, proposed by Osheroff, Cross and Fisher, for spatially inhomogeneous cases. As an application we first study the instability of homogeneous precession of magnetization with respect to the excitation of spin waves. Secondly we study the magnetic solitons in this spin ordered solid and calculate the NMR satellite frequencies associated with the solitons.
