Validity of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II (MCMI-II) and Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) personality disorder scales was examined using multitrait-multi-method procedures and factor analyses. Effects of item overlap were also examined by conducting analyses using both overlapping and nonoverlapping scales.
