ALDOL CONDENSATIONS WITH Co(II)-POLYMER COMPLEX CATALYSTS

Abstract

Abstract Aldol condensation of aldehydes with ketones catalyzed by complex of cobalt(II) acetate and 4-vinylpyridine-styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer gave α,β-unsaturated ketones in high yields without containing self-condensation product of ketone, and the catalyst was able to be re-used.
