The egg‐laying sequence of Raja clavata from aquarium observations, has been found to consist of a 2‐day cycle and to last less than 7 weeks. The mean body length, disc width, and weight of the newly‐hatched rays were 118, 75 mm and 8.92 g respectively and the sex ratio was 1: 1.
