The Mapping of Terrain Visibility

AbstractAbstractThis paper describes the mapping of relative visibility of terrain across Scotland. The method presented can be used to calculate visibility level at both local and regional scales, and for evaluating the relative visibility of land use features such as woodland. The implications for the management of computing resources, are also discussed.
