Abstract

Some factors were investigated which influence the calcium concentration of the saliva during the day. Variations in the relative contribution from the major saliva glands seem to be of great importance. Relative proportions as well as concentrations change with increasing intensity of stimulation. A nutritional influence via the serum concentration was not found.
