It is the purpose of this study to describe eight patients having this disorder. All presented with a similar clinical picture. A brief description of each is given in the Case Reports. The "average" patient had renal insufficiency secondary to chronic renal disease such as glomerulonephritis, and gave a history of shortness of breath and blurring of the vision ("like a curtain or a dark cloud in front of the eyes"). Past history revealed transient peripheral edema, high blood pressure, and proteinuria....References1.
