Th e Ca e Sytem 06 Tagalog Veb is a study of the underlying case relationships in the sentence, and the dominant role the verb plays in dictating the types of cases it allows to co-occur with it.This linguistic information is used to subcategorize the verbs of Tagalog in a manner that is sensitive both to the syntactic and semantic relationships existing between the verb and the cases that occur with it.The classification proposed not only takes into consideration the case frame of the verb but also the total semantic reading of a sentence. To formalize the syntactic-semantic relationships in the sentence, semantic features for the verbs have been made prominent, a step in a continuing effort to explain the verb in Philippine languages.
