The Effect of Factor XIII on Bleeding in Coronary Surgery

Abstract

Factor XIII influences bleeding after coronary surgery and can reduce the need for blood transfusions. In patients with prolonged diffuse bleeding, we therefore recommend substitution of Factor XIII.
