Evidence for Multiple Periodicity in the X-Ray Emission from Cygnus X-1

Abstract

X-ray data from a rocket-borne exposure to Cyg X-1 confirm indications of periodicity obtnined from Uhuru. However, our data are inconsistent with a single periodic component at 73 ms, and are most easily reconciled in terms of at least two harmonic components at lower frequencies.
