The stabilization of radioactive metal ions in inorganic polymer matrices of aluminum silicates, also called geopolymers, is demonstrated. The strength of the metal–ion bonds was then tested by leaching in water and sulfuric‐acid solutions. The experiments were carried out by the radioactive‐tracer method with 152 Eu, 134 Cs, 60 Co, and 59 Fe isotopes.
