Initial magnetization, demagnetization, and magnetic viscosity data are presented for sintered and melt-spun NdFeB over a range of temperatures. A model based on strong domain wall pinning is used to investigate the energy barriers in operation in each case. Temperature is observed to have little effect on magnetization of the material, whereas the demagnetization process is found to be greatly affected. This seems to imply that very different mechanisms are at work in the magnetization and demagnetization processes.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
