Magnetic-field specific-heat measurements on a nearly stoichiometric TmSe sample are reported. The paramagnetic regime is characterized by a high linear temperature term, $\ensuremath{\gamma}$, independent of the magnetic field; the magnetically "ordered" phase shows a drop in $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ even when the resistivity jump below ${T}_{N}$ is destroyed by the magnetic field and the resistivity lies below its room-temperature value.
