Salivary gland and temporomandibular joint involvement in rheumatoid arthritis: relation to disease activity

Abstract

Higher frequency of TMJ and salivary gland dysfunction in RA-patients compared with controls has been demonstrated. RA disease activity is associated with hyposalivation and TMJ dysfunction.
