Seroetiology of acute lower respiratory infections among hospitalized children in Beijing

Abstract

Routine use of antimicrobials for these patients seems unjustified. Serologic evidence for the H. influenzae type b etiology is encouraging in terms of vaccination, but confirmatory studies are needed.
