Rank sum multiple comparisons in one- and two-way classifications

Abstract

This paper develops sensible multiple comparison methods for one-and two-way classifications. The methods are based on the range of rank sums in either classification and on the extreme rank sums in the one-way classification. Tables are presented. An Appendix considers the underlying mathematical approximations.
