The yrast states of 100Mo have been established for spins up to 12 from an analysis of gamma - gamma coincidence data from the 96Zr(7Li,p2n)100Mo reaction. In a subsequent projectile Coulomb-excitation experiment the B(E2) for the 8+ to 6+ transition was determined to be 0.34+or-0.05 e2b2. The excitation energies and E2 matrix elements for the yrast sequence are compared with the predictions of a configuration mixing IBA-2 model calculation.
