Incidence of Carcinoma in Incidental Tonsil Asymmetry

Abstract

A relatively high number of tonsillectomies will be performed to yield an approximately 5% positive rate of malignancy within removed tonsils that are asymmetrical with normal mucosa and no cervical adenopathy.
