Annomuricatin C, a novel cyclohexapeptide from the seeds of Annona muricata

Abstract

A new cyclohexapeptide, annomuricatin C, cyclo (Pro 1 –Gly 2 –Phe 3 –Val 4 –Ser 5 –Ala 6 –) ( 1 ) has been isolated from the methanol extract of the seeds of Annona muricata . The structure was elucidated on the basis of the MS/MS fragmentation using a Q-TOF mass spectrometer equipped with an ESI source, chemical degradation and extensive 2D-NMR. .
