Summary— A new method of urinary diversion in 27 patients is described. The ileocaecal segment is isolated as a reservoir and an invaginated “inkwell” valve of ileum is sewn into the open end of the caecum. Twenty‐four patients are continent and empty their urinary reservoirs by self‐catheterisation at regular intervals.
