Drug compatibility with new polyolefin infusion solution containers

Abstract

Of the drugs tested, only insulin exhibited sorption to the new VISIV polyolefin containers. No leaching of plastic components, such as plasticizer, from the containers was found with any of the surfactant-containing drugs.
