Constituents of sneezewood, Ptaeroxylon obliquum(Thunb.) Radlk. Part I. Chromones

Abstract

Extraction of the timber of sneezewood has given a number of chromones and coumarins. The constitution of two novel chromones, karenin and desoxykarenin, has been elucidated by conversion to a derivative of a third chromone peucenin.
