Interference detection in implantable defibrillators induced by therapeutic radiation therapy.

Abstract

Interference by ionising radiation on the ICDs is demonstrated both on bradycardia and tachycardia therapy. This can have consequences for patients. Recommendations for radiotherapy are presented in this article.
