Central Venous Access: The Effects of Approach, Position, and Head Rotation on Internal Jugular Vein Cross-Sectional Area

Abstract

Central venous catheter insertion is commonly performed in the neck by using the right internal jugular vein. This study assesses factors affecting the cross-sectional area of this vein during central venous catheterization.
