Arbitrarily-shaped optical pulse trainsynthesis using weight/phase-programmable32-tapped delay line waveguide filter

Abstract

Generation of optical pulse train of arbitrary waveform based upon Fourier spectrum synthesis is experimentally demonstrated using a weight/phase-programmable 32-tapped delay line waveguide filter along with a frequency-tunable fibre-optic comb generator.
