Observation of many-phonon stimulated Raman scattering and related cascaded nonlinear-laser effects in monoclinic LaBO<sub>2</sub>MoO<sub>4</sub> single crystals

Large single crystals of the compound LaBO 2 MoO 4 , undoped and doped with Nd 3+ ions, were grown. Their multi-wavelength Stokes and anti-Stokes picosecond generation, nonlinear-laser effects, and neodymium IR luminescence were investigated. We classify these crystals as a promising material for Raman frequency converters and gain medium for solid-state lasers.
