Abstract Solventless asymmetric alkylation of a nickel complex in a ball mill led to α‐amino acid precursors with essentially complete stereochemical control; this outcome is generally superior to that obtained for analogous reactions performed in solution. Extension to aldol chemistry and the potential of the ball‐milling technique in “one‐pot” asymmetric alkylation/click reaction sequences were demonstrated.
