Flooding characteristics of a pulse extraction column

Abstract

Abstract An investigation using the hexone‐water system was made of flooding in a 1‐in.‐diam. ten‐plate pulse column. An analysis of column operation led to the derivation of an equation for predicting conditions of inadequate pulsation and for establishing the amount of liquid recycled under any operating conditions.
