Current control techniquefor improving EMC in power converters

Abstract

A chaotically modulated OFF-time current mode control for DC-DC converters which spreads the inductor current spectrum is presented. Comparison with other methods proposed in the literature shows that this new technique is more suitable for reduction of inductor current spikes and therefore improves electromagnetic compatibility.
