Fluctuating levels of antidepressants premenstrually

Abstract

Recent reports in the literature have shown that men and women metabolize alcohol and certain drugs differently. We now report on two women with fluctuating serum antidepressant levels during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle.ZusammenfassungJüngste Berichte in der Litcratur zeigten, daß Männer und Fraucn Alkohol und bestimmte Medikamente unterschiedlich metabolisieren. Wir berichten nun über zwei Fraucn mit fluktuierenden Antidepressiva-serumspiegeln während der Lutealphase des Menstruationszyklus.RésuméDes rapports récents ont indiqué que les homines et les femmes mctabolisent différemment l'alcool et certains médicaments. Nous soumettons maintcnant un rapport sur deux femmes présentant des fluctuations de niveaux sériques antidépresseurs durant la phase lutéale du cycle menstruel.
