ILIOPSOAS BURSA PRESENTING AS DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS IN RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Abstract

The case of a woman with longstanding rheumatoid arthritis presenting with a deep vein thrombosis of the leg secondary to an enlarged iliopsoas bursa is described. The anatomy, presentation and disease associations are described, and the optimum techniques of imaging and management are discussed.
