Reachable zones for equicontinuous bilinear control processes†

Abstract

Geometrical properties of the set of reachable states are analysed for a class of nonlinear systems termed bilinear. Admissible controls are assumed to be bounded equicontinuous functions of time. While the results are valid for the larger class of non-linear systems with linear control, it is shown that bilinear processes are of particular significance in practice.
