The literature of the past three years on the two-photon process for particle production ${e}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}+{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{e}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}+{\ensuremath{\gamma}}^{*}+{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}+{\ensuremath{\gamma}}^{*}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{e}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}+{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}+X$ (where $X$ is any $C=+\mathrm{state}$) or $p+p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{X}_{1}+{\ensuremath{\gamma}}^{*}+{X}_{2}+{\ensuremath{\gamma}}^{*}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{X}_{1}+{X}_{2}+{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}+{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ (where ${X}_{1}$,${X}_{2}$ are hadron states) is reviewed in some detail. Both the theoretical aspects and the experimental feasibility of various processes are discussed especially for experimentalists' convenience.
