There is currently a dramatic shift in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry to embrace Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a tool that can assist in integrating the fragmented industry by eliminating inefficiencies and redundancies, improving collaboration and communication, and enhancing overall productivity. In the context of this revolution, the intent of this paper is three-fold:
