Primary Osteomas of Skin

Abstract

Two cases of osteoma cutis occurring in mother and child were presented. The mother had multiple pigmented nevi in addition to many cutaneous osteomas. The association of multiple cutaneous nevi and osteoma cutis may be related pathogenically rather than occurring by chance. It was postulated that the tendency toward primary osteoma formation may represent an inheritable defect.
