Chlorotris(triphenylphosphine)rhodium(I) and dichlorotris(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium(II) are very effective catalysts for the alcoholysis of diarylsilanes and the hydrosilylation of carbonyl compounds, providing a selective route to diarylalkoxysilanes.
