Preliminary findings are presented of a two-year experimental study involving some 400 recently released psychiatric patients who applied to Fountain House for rehabilitation services. Selected by rotation at application, three experimental groups were admitted to the program and given differential rehabilitation services. The control group was referred to other community services. The study seeks to evaluate the effects of the various rehabilitative influences on the patient's program participation and his community adjustment.
