The frequency dependence of current noise has been measured in cermet films consisting of chromium and silicon monoxide, and found to be approximately of a 1/f form. The current noise was found to decrease with increasing chromium content, becoming comparable with that given by nichrome resistors for atomic compositions of metal content greater than 38%.
