This case of Lactobacillus casei endocarditis shows the diagnostic and therapeutic problems that may be encountered in such infections.A 63-year-old man came to the Richmond Veterans Administration Hospital on 3 January 1972 complaining of dizziness of 3 to 4 days' duration.
