Abstract [Pt(S2CNEt2)2] reacts with [AgClO4] to form [{Pt3(S2CNEt2)6Ag2}(ClO4)2]. Its crystal has an extended two-dimensional cationic lattice with an Ag-Pt-Ag arrangement [Pt-Ag = 2.932(2) Å and ∠Ag–Pt–Ag = 166.8(1)°] unsupported by covalently bridging ligands.
