Density Matrix Renormalization Group Method for 2D Classical Models

Abstract

The density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) method is applied to the\ninteraction round a face (IRF) model. When the transfer matrix is asymmetric,\nsingular-value decomposition of the density matrix is required. A trial\nnumerical calculation is performed on the square lattice Ising model, which is\na special case of the IRF model.\n
