A set of analytical expressions has been developed which will predict the absorption of sound in air at 20°C. The results agree within 3% of previous work in the frequency range of 100 Hz 1 MHz for all humidities. Below 100 Hz accuracy cannot be judged because of lack of knowledge about the vibration-vibration energy transfer between CO2 and O2.
