On the consistency and equivalence of certain definitions of summability

t Such definitions are sometimes said to satisfy the condition of consistency; the word consistency is used in this paper in a different sense.Î Of course consistency is self-evident in the trivial case in which one definition evaluates all series evaluated by another definition, giving the same values.
