Abstract

Abstract The oxidation of hydroxamic acids, N-hydroxyureas and N-hydroxycarbamates with the Dess-Martin periodinane generates the corresponding acyl nitroso compounds that react with conjugated dienes to produce the corresponding cycloadducts.
